YC: Beginner Basic Skills (2 days)

June 4th & 5th - 10am to 1:30pm

Join Chef Dan and Chef Kelly for this two day workshop focusing on the Basic Skills that will last a lifetime! On Day 1 Chef Dan will introduce you to the fundamentals of cooking including knife skills, emulsification, sauteing, roasting and more.   Chef Kelly on Day 2 introduces the basics of proper measurement, baking times and altitude adjustments for baking here in the Mile High City!


[June 4th] Day 1 Menu:

  • Chopped Salad with Basil Vinaigrette

  • Triangle Tip Roast with Roasted Mushroom, Red Pepper, Shallot Ragout

  • Sautéed Breast of Chicken with Lemon Herb Aioli

  • Rice Pilaf

  • Roasted Fresh Vegetables

  • Broccoli with Cheddar Cheese Sauce

[June 5th] Day 2 Menu:

  • Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

  • Banana Bread

  • Snickerdoodles

  • Scones

  • Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • Chocolate Brownies
