Are you stuck at home with COVID-19 quarantine or prevention measures?
There's no reason we can't still cook together, virtually. Almost everyone has their repertoire of tried-and-true recipes that eventually become a part of the weekly menu. But when you've been cooped up at home for weeks on end and constantly cooking, even family favorites can become a bore. That's when it's time to look to your phone, tablet, or laptop for a little extra help. More specifically, it's time to sign up for some online cooking classes!
HOW DO THE ONLINE CLASSES WORK?
Upon registration, students to our live streaming cooking classes will receive recipes, a list of ingredients and a link to register with Zoom and access the class. The class is interactive, which means you can ask questions via chat and our moderator. We're keeping it simple-it might just be a sauce, or it could be one or more dishes-whatever it is, it will be healthy and delicious! The class can be anywhere from 30-90 minutes. After the class, you’ll receive a link to a video recording of the class! Yes, we understand you may want to re-watch, takes notes or even, cook the dish again. And, if you have any other questions that you think of after the class, we’re here for you, just email us at jodie@theseasonedchef.com and one of our Chefs will respond to you.
WHAT CLASSES ARE BEING OFFERED?
Adult Classes: Italian Classics, Mediterranean Tapas, French Comfort Foods, and pretty much every other style of adult-focused class that you already know and love from our usual calendar is still available. While these adult-focused classes may be enjoyed by everyone in the family, we recommend that attendees are familiar with at least a basic level of cooking prior to registering.
Kids “Young Chef” Classes: Classes labeled “Young Chef” are catered directly to children aged around 11-15, though we suggest getting the whole family involved whenever possible. Parents of younger children who are interested in cooking, this is a great activity to do together! The recipes will be slightly more basic, though the material is essentially the same. Similar to our regularly sold-out kids camps and classes, we’ll be teaching our young chefs all of the skills they’ll need to know to set them up for a lifetime of cooking healthy meals at home.
Culinary Techniques Series: While many of our classes on our calendar have not changed, the one caveat is our Basic Skills class. Though if you’re ready to learn, we’ve got you covered! Rather than grouping all skills into one, large-format class, we’ve divided out the skills that we typically teach in Basic Skills into a new series called Culinary Techniques! Learn how to sauté, braise & blanche, create simple soups & salads from scratch, and every other skill you’ll ever use in the kitchen throughout this series, all on the calendar now!
Private Group Classes: Similar to our in-person private classes, we are now offering online private group classes! Gather your group of friends, family, co-workers, or team members, even though you working from different locations, you will all be working towards the same goal. The recipes we use can be customized and we can cater our lesson to fit your exact goals. To learn more or book a private online class please click here to contact us.
