TO START US OFF… MEET JENNA VOSBURGH!
Hello, my name is Jenna Vosburgh and I am a teaching assistant at the Seasoned Chef cooking school. I was attracted to a teaching position because I love being a part of that ‘a-ha!’ moment for people; the moment where everything clicks and the student gains more confidence in their cooking skills. I love working here at The Seasoned Chef and The Gourmet Spoon because it allows me to work closely with both food and people and gives me the opportunity to share my passion with others.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR FAVORITE RECIPE.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been cooking in the kitchen with Grandma. My childhood is flooded with loving memories of my grandma patiently teaching me how to bake, sauté, and even grill a myriad of delicious meals for our family.
Unfortunately, due to my numerous food allergies, I could not eat a lot of the things that we made together. I was denied one of the greatest joys of cooking: eating!
Well, my sweet little grandma was determined to let me try some of the dessert that I love to bake, so she scored the internet until she found a vegan chocolate cake recipe that avoided my egg allergy. I love this recipe not only because it reminds me of my grandma, but also because it is reliable and always comes out super moist! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
