COOKING CLASS TEAM BUILDING EVENTS
Being in the dog days of summer, we’ve been getting a lot of questions lately surrounding our corporate team building events. It’s so great to see so many new and repeat customers growing their teams and focusing on building collaborative environments!
Typical questions that we’ve been getting include, “What’s the set up?,” “How can these help our team and business grow and thrive?,” or “Is my team a good candidate for this type of programming?”
So, while these events are typically customized to each individual team or client, we thought we’d give you a little glimpse into why we believe that booking an event with The Gourmet Spoon is one of the best steps you can take towards building a strong team that is successful and feels appreciated in their respective roles.
Now let’s dive in…
WHY TEAM BUILDING WORKS
Depending on your role within your business you might not be familiar with the copious amount of research available proving one fact that we’ve known for a long time… team building works!
Often, while employees might select their job based on surface-level factors, such as salary or job description, these are typically not the factors that determine a person’s role for the long term. People stay in their role when they feel appreciated, well managed, motivated, and feel like they’re a part of a strong team.
This is not an easy task, especially now that 43% of the workforce in America works from home!
But hosting regular team building events puts your employees into a space where teamwork is absolutely necessary. Through these events, collaborative teams improve productivity, increase motivation and collaboration, and improve communication. This all while the organization is encouraging their employee’s creativity and positively reinforcing great work. It’s a win for everyone involved!
WHY THE GOURMET SPOON WORKS
For over 20 years, The Gourmet Spoon has hosted team building events with a proven track record of success. Across the years, we’ve honed our craft to efficiently host events where participants, working toward a common goal, increase communication, develop team building, achieve new skills, and enhance camaraderie, all in an environment where all of the details are to you, as the primary planner, as effortless as possible.
Our team is built to accommodate groups 8-100 people in size, while uniquely customizing all of the details to be a team building event that fits the specific goals of your organization.
OUR SET UP FOR TEAM BUILDING EVENTS
At a high level, in a matter of 3.5-4 hours, Chef Dan provides hands-on instruction for the entire group, related to a menu that is selected by you, our client. We then break the large group into smaller teams and provide recipes that interconnect the various teams.
This process, in turn, creates a fun environment where individuals of all levels of seniority, departments, and years of tenure are working together towards one common goal.
SOME FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Don’t just trust our opinion on our events. Here’s what some of our clients are saying!
“Did a cooking competition here with my company. It was a blast! Everyone was very helpful and made the experience a ton of fun. We even went over on time and they were very accommodating. Would definitely recommend for a team building event, family bonding or even a bachelorette party!” – Deanna B.
“I was fortunate enough to come here as part of a team building event with my work colleagues for a night of ‘Christmas in Tuscany.’
This was my first ever cooking class and I thought the set up was done well and the menu was well thought out…
I had a wonderful time with my group and the entire class, joking around and cooking new dishes. I could see this as a wonderful date night or group outing. It was a well-paced class and at the end everyone was able to try all the dishes and enjoy some wine while discussing the ease of cooking each dish and how easy it would be to replicate everything at home.
My mom visits CO often and I could see a cooking class here being right up our alley. I would come back in a heartbeat for another class and try my skills at something new. Maybe a dessert class – chocolate anyone?” – Jennifer B.
