First, before I begin I want to say a HUGE thank you to our wonderful TSC Family! My staff and I have been incredibly grateful for your support during this unprecedented time.
To each person who cooked along with our online classes (and the technical challenges we faced), purchased gift cards, or supported our Gourmet Meals to Go week after week, THANK YOU! I have always said we have the best students, and you only reinforced what I knew to be true.
Last week, we announced we will be reopening the school to in-person classes. While we are all ready to “go back to normal”, we acknowledge that we must now take additional steps to protect our staff and students. As your safety is our top priority, I wanted to speak on what precautions we will be taking in light of the health situation. This list includes:
All staff and guests will be required to wear masks in the building unless eating. Face shields will also be made available.
Temperature check & health questionnaire upon entrance to building. If you are experiencing any symptoms of illness, please stay home & do not enter the kitchen.
Gloves for each person while preparing food.
Plastic plates & plastic disposable cups and silverware, for young chefs camps.
Reduced class sizes to allow guests to spread out.
Rearrangement of the room to encourage social distancing.
Our chefs are adapting menus to minimize contact points.
Assistants will be serving plates at the buffet so only one set of hands touches the serve ware.
Guests may opt to dine in or take entire meal to go. We will provide to-go containers.
An additional assistant assigned to each class focused only on increased sanitation protocols of high-traffic areas, including bathrooms & door handles.
We ask you to team with us as we work to provide a healthy gathering space for our TSC community. If you are showing symptoms, or you have been exposed to COVID-19, please postpone coming to a class. Our class cancellation policy will continue to be flexible during this time. We also recognize that not everyone is ready for a social outing and we will continue to offer our online classes as we move forward.
