Let's Talk Virtual Young Chef Camps

For over 25 years, we have had the honor of supporting young chefs through teaching them the basics of cooking.  It’s a model that we’re incredibly proud of, proving time and time again that children of all ages can learn how to cook fun, fantastic meals at home in a safe and positive kitchen environment.


Leading towards a lifetime of healthy and delicious eating habits, we don’t intend to let this current COVID-19 pandemic stop us from teaching kids how to cook!  We’ve adapted many of our typical young chef classes towards a digital format already, and now we can add VIRTUAL KIDS CAMPS to the list.


Through partnering with parents, we are excited to continue helping children build lifelong healthy habits and skills, now in the heart of their own home.

Some quick FAQs to know:

How long are Kids Camps?

Our Kids Camps are three days per week, two hours each day - 10:30AM-12:30PM.  Your child(ren) can attend only a single week or multiple weeks throughout the summer, as we teach a wide variety of different skills and recipes, all of which can be seen on our online calendar.

Who should participate in the Camps?

Our classes are designed for children ages 11-15 years old.  Older children (and adults!) can participate, but should be aware that the skills taught are at a bit more basic level than our traditional classes.  Younger kids may also participate, though we would highly suggest that a parent would plan to cook alongside their child as an extra safety precaution.

What do we need to have at home to participate?

We would suggest that you have exactly three ingredients in your home to actively participate - olive oil, salt, and pepper.  That’s it!

Depending on the week you decide to sign up, we will be sending out a list of suggested kitchenware that you may want to consider - pots, pans, etc.  If you do not have access to any specialty item, we can also suggest alternatives that would work for your young chef.

What is included in these camps?

We know that you have a long list of things to do, so we’re making our kids camps easier than ever for participants and their families. 

Prior to the class, you will receive a complete recipe packet, including every step we will be reviewing throughout our class time.  We’re also going to do the shopping for you!  Via pick up or delivery (your choice), we will be providing exact portions of all of the ingredients needed for your meals so that you won’t even need to head to the store.  Please note delivery is to Denver & Boulder surrounding areas only. If you are outside this area, please contact us and we will provide you with a class shopping list.

During the class we will be LIVE within our private Zoom portal. Our instructor and students will be able to see each other the whole time, meaning that this is the perfect opportunity for your kids to take classes with their friends and family members, AND we’ll be able to quickly and effectively answer questions throughout our time together.

After the class, each attendee will receive a full recording of the class so that your young chef can re-watch the lesson and re-create the meal any time their heart desires.

When can we start?!

Virtual kids camps start June 2, 2020 and will continue throughout the summer until we are permitted to safely meet in person once more.
