Join us for this more advanced two-day hands-on workshop which expands on the foundational skills that you will use for the rest of your life! We’ll help you build on your repertoire of essential culinary techniques, so you can continue to gain confidence in the kitchen, and cook more good food with fresh ingredients! Day 1 features a recap of basic knife skills, mise en place, grilling, soup making and vegetable preparation, while on Day 2, Chef Kelly will be teaching more advanced baking techniques, including cake making, shortcrust pastry and pate a choux. Ages 11 and up.
This class is open to students who already have some confidence in the kitchen, and is a recommended continuation for those having taken Beginners Basic Skills.
